Grand Finals ISNSC 2007

The annual Inter School National Scrabble Championships 2007 finally came to a close as the best 46 teams in Singapore battle it out at the Grand Finals in NUS on Saturday, 30 June.


3 of our 6 teams have qualified for the Grand Finals, which is already a massive achievement!


And after 4 gruelling games, we are proud to announce that Team 2 managed to clinch 3rd place! Congratulations!

Venue: National University Of Singapore (NUS) – Multi Purpose Hall (27 Prince George’s Park Singapore 118425)

8.30 am – 9.00 am Briefing

9.00 am – 10.00 am Game 1

10.00 am – 10.30 am Submission of Result Slips/Luck Of Draw/Toilet Break

All teachers are to remind Team Captains that the same players who have played for the team in the preliminary rounds will be the ones representing the same team in the Grand Finals. There shall be no replacement of any other player(s) should any of them not able to play on that day. Where the minimum of 3 players is represented per team, it is thus implied that there will be a walkover for the opposing team for the 2 absent players who had failed to turn up.

Bishan Scrabble Challenge 2007

Despite a few hiccups early morning, our 5 St Hilda's scrabble teams are raring to go. All 5 teams are out to bring honours for our school.

After 4 gruelling games (and many bingos!), the results are finally out.

St Hilda's Team 4 has achieved 3rd position in the Bowl Category (three cheers!).

And...

St Hilda's Team 1 has achieved 1st position in the Cup Category (double three cheers!), the top-most position in the whole tournament!

Of course, winning is not everything. More importantly, all of us certainly enjoyed ourselves just by meeting up with our friends, made new ones from other schools and to share our passion and love for Scrabble!
