ISC changes to new Dictionary

Here's an email I receive that I would like to share with you. This email means that ZA, KI, JA, FE and other new words are now officially accepted in ISC and practically everywhere around the world. :)

ISC has been updated with the new SOWPODS word list, based on Collins
Official Scrabble Tournament and Club Word List (2007). The word list is
100% compliant with the published word book. Please do not ask me for a
copy of the word list itself as I do not personally have it.

More information on the changeover can be found at
http://www.tilefish .co.uk/csw2007. php - a quick reference guide to the
new 2s and 3s can also be found here.

The Collins word book itself can be obtained *exclusively* from the
Tilefish website for a special offer price of 6 UKP until 30th June. We
also have related items such as the ABSP's Collins Initiation Kit and
our hugely popular Useful Words laminated sheet. See
http://www.tilefish .co.uk for all this and more!

If you require international postage options please email us before
placing an order and we will get back to you with a quote ASAP.

Let the fun begin!

ISNSC 2007 updates

St Hilda's Primary School sent 6 teams to represent the school in this yearly much-awaited event. Our pupils were excited to play Scrabble and to show the other schools how we play competitive Scrabble! :)

With 110 teams participating, only the top 15 teams will be selected to move on to the Grand Finals! So to stand a good chance of going to the Grand Finals, winning all 3 games will give us a good chance of going through. Results of the Grand Finals will be made known in 2 weeks' time. So let's cross our fingers for now!

More importantly, everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously as we made new friends from other schools as well as bringing back a lot of goodies!

Last-minute preparation

Any words remembered at this point will definitely help!
